ADVENTURES, CHALLENGES, AND INSIGHTS OF A COUPLE IN EARLY RETIREMENT
On our way to our next stop in Charleston, we decided to stop at Beaufort for an afternoon because I read it was a beautiful southern town. In Charleston, we stayed at a really nice Hilton timeshare, we saw all of the sites, and ate a few wonderful meals. What could be better?
We usually avoid Playa in the summer because it can be oppressively hot and humid. But this summer, we found ourselves here for most of the summer. We hope we won’t be here in the summer going forward, so we thought we should do things that are only available in the summer.
In the article where we told you about my broken hip, we finished up in Playa del Carmen at two and a half weeks after surgery. The fact of the matter is, the next two months were pretty boring. But we did try to find some fun things to do, and of course we had to eat.
Golden dusk whispers,

The places we chose to visit on our self-drive in Namibia all had some kind of significance. We visited the Kulala Desert Lodge next because of the red dunes. Our son had seen them while he was doing a study abroad program in Botswana and told us we should definitely see them.
