I wanted to go to Rochester New York last summer to finish setting up my son’s house, but due to Covid, that wasn’t possible. However, we were able to visit this year. So, I was finally able to see the house in person and happily realize my vision for the space.
Ever since we sold our home and embarked on our home-free roving retirement a year and a half ago, I have sometimes thought about what “home-free” means and how I feel about it.

You may have noticed that Mike has been writing a lot of our articles lately. That isn’t because I’ve been too busy rehabbing my leg or too out of it from two surgeries in one week.
Our Chapter 2 can be described as Early Roving Retirement. We are approaching this phase of our lives a bit differently than most of our peers. We have sold our house and most of our stuff and plan to rent wherever we go, roving relatively unencumbered.
