Cork is a short drive down the coast from our last stop in Waterford and not really far from Dublin. Being in the center of the southern coast of Ireland, Cork was an ideal base from which to explore southern Ireland for the next several days of our Irish road trip.
Sometimes the planets align for a perfect day during our roving retirement. Without much forethought, we managed to make our first Saturday in Dublin Ireland into a well-rounded experience of history, whiskey, music, and food.

As in previous years, our winter ski season has included a trip to Park City. This year we decided to stay an extra week and fly, unlike previous years when we drove. This year’s visit to Park City also included entertainment and the excitement of the Sundance Film Festival.
During our five-week stay in Bali, we spent a fair amount of money and time diving. While we mentioned that we didn’t go to Bali for the food, we did spend some time at restaurants and we even took a Balinese cooking class.
