ADVENTURES, CHALLENGES, AND INSIGHTS OF A COUPLE IN EARLY RETIREMENT
Our roving retirement in India took us on a private tour around the Rajasthan region of India, which also included Varanasi and Nepal. The tour continued with a tiger, a train, a Taj, and a river. Apparently, only 10% of visitors are lucky enough to see a tiger. Yeah!!
We were NOT disappointed in the Indian food we had in India! Sampling many dishes at various Indian restaurants in the Bay Area gave us a baseline, but the food here in India is better.
This stop on our roving retirement found us on a three-week tour of Rajasthan. I wanted to call this article Impressions of India because I want to describe how India is different from every place else we have visited.
After our super-busy, roving retirement, three-week tour of Southeast Asia we knew we would need some time off. We decided to check out two different Thai Islands, Phuket that is large and popular and Koh Tao an island you’ve never heard of.
The next stop on our roving retirement Southeast Asia tour was Siem Reap specifically to see the nearly 1000-year-old Hindu temples built by early Khmer kings.
