ADVENTURES, CHALLENGES, AND INSIGHTS OF A COUPLE IN EARLY RETIREMENT
After leaving our moving two-week home (cruise ship) we headed to our Amsterdam hotel to drop off our bags. Then we headed out to explore the city on a hop-on, hop-off bus, and on foot. The bus is a great way to get oriented and comfortable with the town you are in.
Although we did spend a lot of time at sea on our repositioning cruise, we were able to visit some interesting ports in the Azores, France, the UK and Belgium.
Many people, us included, have been curious about how we would handle being in the middle of the Atlantic for so long. Overall, we had a pretty good time participating in onboard activities, working out, eating good food, and generally relaxing.
For years, we have talked about skiing in France, this year we finally got there. Our final European ski destination of the 2021/2022 ski season was in 3 Vallees, France.
The next stop on our European ski trip was not for skiing. Instead, we went to visit a friend in Grenoble on our way to skiing in France. Neither of us had been to Grenoble and we were looking forward to exploring someplace new.
