The next stop on our roving retirement was Mexico City because our flight to Europe went through there and we had never visited before. We purposely changed our plans so we could spend four days in Mexico City.
Good Eats in Playa del Carmen
While in Playa del Carmen, we got into a familiar routine. We would work in the morning, eat lunch at our condo, lay by the pool, and go out to dinner every evening. When it came to dining in Playa del Carmen, the decision was always Mexican or not-Mexican. I know, tough decisions plague our roving retirement. 🙂
Getting Around in Playa del Carmen
Our roving retirement lifestyle typically involves some day trips to interesting places along with lots of venturing to local bars and restaurants. Since we are in Playa we thought we would tell you how to get around in this part of Mexico.
Beach Day in Playa del Carmen
The beach scene in Playa del Carmen is a little unconventional because it is dominated by beach clubs, where you pay for a beach chair and you are captive for food and drink.
Bumpy Arrival in Playa del Carmen
We were excited to be headed abroad again. Being in roving retirement, we decided to spend the month of February in sunny, warm Playa del Carmen, Mexico, on the Riviera Maya, south of Cancun.
