ADVENTURES, CHALLENGES, AND INSIGHTS OF A COUPLE IN EARLY RETIREMENT
Besides our annual pilgrimage to Tahoe, we went to Las Vegas to finally claim our things from storage and to Scottsdale to see some doctors. We tried to have some fun along the way.
Our stay in Playa during November and December was filled with celebrations, visitors, tequila, beach massages, touring ruins, and of course food.
We had long planned to return to Playa in the fall so we could rest and recharge. But fate had a few surprises in store for us both before we arrived and within our first week.
During our quarterly visit to the Bay Area, we decided to take advantage of the California sunshine, so welcome after the cold, damp, and grey of Ireland. Pretty country, not great weather. We took a short trip to the wine country and even had time to float down the Russian River.
After walking the length and breadth of the Miami Cruise Terminal A, we boarded our ship. One of the reasons we picked this particular repositioning cruise was the first week was in the Caribbean before we headed across the Atlantic.
