Our roving retirement trip to Spain has been really educational. For example, we visited Ronda on our previous trip to Spain eons ago. We were so taken with the town that we decided to visit again. We were surprised at how much our visit to Ronda informed our visit to see the dancing horses in Jerez.
Malaga’s Great Vibe, Cathedral, and Alcazaba
This week our roving retirement trip to Spain saw us go from Almeria to Malaga. On this trip we are looking for places we might like to live in, even for a short time. Malaga is now on the shortlist, we really liked its warmth, and vibe, there was enough to do, proximity to the beach, and good food.
Alicante, Castles and a Smooth Vibe on the Costa Blanca
One point of our roving retirement trip to Spain is to decide which towns we might like to visit for a longer time in the future. So far, we have really liked every town we have visited, Alicante is no exception. All real towns in Spain must have a castle, Alicante has two.
Interesting Hotels and Castles in Cartagena and Almeria
Our current roving retirement trip through Spain has been much faster than the slow travel we did in Hawaii and Scottsdale. In our effort to see as many towns along the Spanish coast as possible, we decided to stop in Cartagena and spend a night in Almeria.
Valencia and Calatrava Challenge the Senses
After two years of roving retirement, we finally made it to Valencia. This city has lots of historic and UNESCO sites to visit as well as their newest attraction, The City of Arts and Sciences, which is truly spectacular.
