ADVENTURES, CHALLENGES, AND INSIGHTS OF A COUPLE IN EARLY RETIREMENT
We spent three days of our time in Cape Town in the Stellenbosch and Kirstenbosch wine regions near Cape Town. In this article, we want to tell you about the wineries we visited and the lovely lunches we enjoyed on the days we went wine tasting.
Our next stop was Cape Town for a bit of an extended stay, nearly two weeks. Of course, we could have seen everything in less time, but we are into slower travel these days. In addition to Cape Town itself, there are wine regions nearby to explore, and the Cape of Good Hope.
After a few days in Dublin, we were on our way to Johannesburg, South Africa, via Paris. We had planned three nights in Joburg before traveling on for a longer stay in Cape Town.
We are now out of Africa and look forward to sharing our experiences in town and on safari in subsequent articles, but first, some breaking news from Namibia…
Moving on after the graduation in Rochester, NY, we embarked on the pleasant if long-ish three-and-half hour drive to Toronto. Since the route goes right by Niagara Falls, we felt compelled to hop out of the car and revisit one of the great waterfalls of the world.
