ADVENTURES, CHALLENGES, AND INSIGHTS OF A COUPLE IN EARLY RETIREMENT
We spent 3 months in Hawaii and thought we would write a “best of” article to provide a shortcut for those of you planning a trip to Hawaii. Overall, we had a wonderful experience, each island has something a little different to offer.
Our final few weeks in Oahu Hawaii had us visiting all of the famous sites. The highlights of our last week in the islands included a visit to Pearl Harbor, an island cruise and more Monkeypod Mai Tai’s.
Oahu was our final island to visit on our 3-month Hawaiian adventure. Instead of just telling you about the places on the island to visit, we thought we would start off by giving you our take on how Oahu feels to us.
It was two years ago, this week, that Diana and I chose to start sharing our Adventures, Challenges, and Insights in Early Roving Retirement. Our home-free adventure is bold and exciting for some and just plain scary for others. But we are definitely fulfilling our dream of a roving retirement.
After two weeks of enjoying the peace and quiet of the north shore of Kauai, we moved to the southern shore of Kauai. The south shore resort area is called Po’ipu and definitely seemed much more like the hustle and bustle of Maui. A bit of a welcome change after the slow pace of life in Princeville.
