ADVENTURES, CHALLENGES, AND INSIGHTS OF A COUPLE IN EARLY RETIREMENT
Our Chapter 2 can be described as Early Roving Retirement. We are approaching this phase of our lives a bit differently than most of our peers. We have sold our house and most of our stuff and plan to rent wherever we go, roving relatively unencumbered.
To those of us who grew up in Northern California, “The City” means only one place, San Francisco. Since we are always looking to fulfill our bucket list items, as soon as we got back to the US, Mike found tickets to Hamilton.
When I’m not out playing in the snow, Park City has some nice places to pass the time. Despite what you may have heard, cocktails, fine wine and dining are easy to come by in this part of Utah.
I finished up my 2020 ski season with 8 days in Utah. Between the frequent mornings revealing 3 inches of fresh powder and some good food, it left me looking forward to a return next year.
In order to enable our roving retirement, we needed to be financially independent. For the longest time, I have been thinking about financial independence, the first part of acronym FIRE (Financial Independence, Retire Early).
