ADVENTURES, CHALLENGES, AND INSIGHTS OF A COUPLE IN EARLY RETIREMENT
Our main reason for heading into France was to attend our visa appointment at the Prefecture in Nice. That said, we lived in Nice for more than two months last year and we were anxious to visit some of our old haunts. We toyed with the idea of staying in and exploring another part of town but finally settled on staying in roughly the same neighborhood as we did before.
Just before the latest lockdown in Nice, we had the opportunity to see a rehearsal in the beautiful Nice Opera House. I vividly remember our tour of the Paris Opera House, with its Chagall ceiling, and we didn’t want to pass up the opportunity to see the inside of the Opera House in Nice.
There are so many things to see and do in Sydney Australia, the next stop on Our Big Trip and our roving retirement. The pulse is active and vibrant and the people are neither young or old, just a nice mix of all ages.
