Our roving retirement travels in 2021 taught us a few lessons, the most significant is that we need to travel slower in the future. This year we had 59+ travel days. That means that we slept in at least that many beds, and that is definitely too much.
Baseball, Golf, and Good Eats in Scottsdale 2021
We are at the end of our 4-week stay in Scottsdale. As always, it is a little sad to go. Over the last few weeks we had a chance to watch the Giants beat the Diamondbacks, play golf, plan future travel, and have some great meals.
Catching Up on Life in Scottsdale
Here in Scottsdale the time just flies by. Much of our time here this year was spent with doctors, tests, physical therapists, and Pilates instructors. But in between all the appointments, we were able to spend time in the pool, eat great food, visit interesting sites, go to the movies, and see live music. What a difference a year makes.

Last year we spent more than 3 months in Scottsdale Arizona. This year we wanted to do some of the things that weren’t possible last year because of Covid and my limited mobility. One thing on our list from last year was going to the cowboy bars that abound in Cave Creek Arizona.

We all know one of the greatest things about traveling and roving retirement is enjoying the food. Our experience in Scottsdale was no different. Owing to the touristy nature of Scottsdale, there was no shortage of decent places to enjoy some food and drinks.
