ADVENTURES, CHALLENGES, AND INSIGHTS OF A COUPLE IN EARLY RETIREMENT
A big part of our roving retirement is traveling around Europe. However, during Covid lots of extra things need to be done. So, we thought we would describe our EU Covid pass experience. On our recent trip, people in Portugal and in France required our Euro QR code to verify our vaccination status.
Most of us in early retirement want to travel extensively and we may or may not be too young for Medicare. Either way, you will need to understand your options for “travel insurance” and “medical insurance.”
As we are getting ready to leave our temporary home in Scottsdale, to resume our roving retirement; I find myself reflecting on our time here at the Sheraton Desert Oasis in Scottsdale Arizona.
Roving retirement has its ups and downs. The next few weeks will challenge our ability to recover from surgery in a timeshare and basically make the best of an unfortunate situation.
Our roving retirement hasn’t been without its mishaps. Any time you travel, you could need a doctor for a sprained ankle, a stomach bug, or in my case, major orthopedic surgery. This article describes some of our experiences.
