ADVENTURES, CHALLENGES, AND INSIGHTS OF A COUPLE IN EARLY RETIREMENT
It was two years ago, this week, that Diana and I chose to start sharing our Adventures, Challenges, and Insights in Early Roving Retirement. Our home-free adventure is bold and exciting for some and just plain scary for others. But we are definitely fulfilling our dream of a roving retirement.
Almost two years ago, Mike and I wrote an article about Daydreaming and planning your future life. Our dream was of a roving retirement certainly works better when governments don’t impose lockdowns and stay-at-home orders.
Ever since we sold our home and embarked on our home-free roving retirement a year and a half ago, I have sometimes thought about what “home-free” means and how I feel about it.
As we are getting ready to leave our temporary home in Scottsdale, to resume our roving retirement; I find myself reflecting on our time here at the Sheraton Desert Oasis in Scottsdale Arizona.
Like many people, I have been “given” the opportunity to reconnect with loved ones and learn new skills during the coronavirus lockdown. Especially since the roving part of our retirement has been greatly curtailed.
