ADVENTURES, CHALLENGES, AND INSIGHTS OF A COUPLE IN EARLY RETIREMENT
Roving retirement and around the world travel can be unpredictable. Ours had more than our fair share of excitement including a Medivac trip in Africa. I am definitely going to count that flight as one of our many on this trip.
Our roving retirement tour of Africa took us from Nairobi Kenya to Victoria Falls Zimbabwe. We were here to see Victoria Falls and the Zambezi river with its elephants, hippos, and crocodiles.
Our roving retirement tour of the middle east finally took us to Jerusalem at the very end of our three-week tour. Our hotel was again in the Arab district of east Jerusalem. There were lots of restaurants in the area, just no beer.
I am noticing a difference between what I thought was important in life and things that seem important to us now that we are permanently “on the road”.
Our roving retirement middle east trip finally took us to Israel via the land crossing from Jordan. I have waited for many years to come to Israel. I was so excited to finally be in Israel.
