As we are getting ready to leave our temporary home in Scottsdale, to resume our roving retirement; I find myself reflecting on our time here at the Sheraton Desert Oasis in Scottsdale Arizona.
Roving retirement has its ups and downs. The next few weeks will challenge our ability to recover from surgery in a timeshare and basically make the best of an unfortunate situation.
Our roving retirement hasn’t been without its mishaps. Any time you travel, you could need a doctor for a sprained ankle, a stomach bug, or in my case, major orthopedic surgery. This article describes some of our experiences.
Roving retirement and around the world travel can be unpredictable. Ours had more than our fair share of excitement including a Medivac trip in Africa. I am definitely going to count that flight as one of our many on this trip.
